2021-22  Art Show

Donated $1030 to the Teachers at Canyon Ridge Middle School

In December 2021, during my 8th-grade year, I had the honor of hosting my second virtual art show, titled "Teachers: Our True Heroes." Throughout my educational journey, I've witnessed firsthand the dedication and hard work of our teachers, especially during the challenging times brought about by the pandemic. Transitioning from in-person to virtual learning and then back to in-person with masks, each school year presented its own set of obstacles. However, amidst these changes, one constant remained—the unwavering support and guidance of my teachers.

Starting middle school was a mix of excitement and nervousness for me. From navigating sixth grade without a pandemic to adapting to virtual learning in seventh grade and finally returning to in-person classes for eighth grade, the journey was marked by resilience and adaptation. Through it all, my teachers played a pivotal role in making each year memorable and meaningful.

"Teachers: Our True Heroes" was more than just an art show; it was my heartfelt expression of gratitude towards the educators who have shaped my academic experience. With the support of Art for a Cause, I donated 100% of the proceeds from this event to the teachers at CRMS (Canyon Ridge Middle School). The $1,030 raised was allocated towards fulfilling teacher grants, providing essential classroom supplies, and supporting their ongoing efforts to create enriching learning environments for their students.

This initiative was my way of giving back to those who have given so much to me and countless other students. It was a small token of appreciation for their hard work, patience, understanding, and unwavering support throughout the years. Through "Teachers: Our True Heroes," I hope to amplify the importance of acknowledging and honoring the invaluable contributions of educators in shaping the future of our society.

“I love your kind heart and words to want to support the teachers. I would be thankful and so proud for you to do this in honor of our teachers. The donations can be used to provide teacher gifts or something for the teachers. You continue to astound me with your skills and talents. Thank you, Shreya, for all that you do as a student at CRMS!”
