Congressional Award Gold Medal 2025

One of the most rewarding chapters of my journey has been earning the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor Congress awards to youth for distinguished achievement. The Congressional Gold Medal is the highest civilian honor awarded in the United States. It is bestowed by Congress for exceptional achievements that have significantly impacted American history and culture. Over the course of two years, I completed 400 hours of volunteer service, 200 hours of personal development, 200 hours of physical fitness, and a 5-day, 4-night expedition—a demanding yet transformative experience that pushed me to grow as a leader, creator, and changemaker.

A significant portion of my volunteer service stemmed from Shreya’s Atelier’s Art for a Cause, the nonprofit I founded to raise awareness about disabilities through art. From organizing exhibitions and community outreach events to managing budgets and crafting our mission-driven narrative, —each one strengthening my leadership, communication, and impact-oriented mindset.

This journey not only fulfilled the Congressional Gold Medal requirements but also solidified my lifelong commitment to service, advocacy, and creative expression. I’m deeply honored to not just to receive the award, but the purpose and passion behind it.
