In July 2022, during the summer before entering 9th grade, Art for a Cause collaborated with Claire S. to organize the ArtnBake Summer Camp, a two-week event held from July 18th to July 29th. Each day, participants engaged in creative activities for four hours, combining the joys of art and baking into a memorable experience.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the ArtnBake Summer Camp was the opportunity to give back to the community. Through the camp, Art for a Cause was able to donate 100% of the net profits, totaling $1,540, to Austin Pets Alive! This contribution sponsored a kennel, providing essential support for approximately 13 dogs as they await their forever homes. Additionally, the funds contributed to medical chip-ins, ensuring that sick and injured animals receive the necessary treatment to thrive.

The cause of supporting Austin Pets Alive! holds a special significance for me, as my own dog holds a cherished place in my heart and family. It was incredibly meaningful to play a part in helping other dogs find loving families and receive the care they deserve.

Through the ArtnBake Summer Camp, we not only fostered creativity and camaraderie but also made a tangible difference in the lives of animals in need. It's moments like these that remind me of the power of community and the joy of giving back.
